This section is designed to help you overcome any technical issues you may experience while using this CD-ROM. It is not intended to help you with the actual content present on this CD-ROM. Refer to your instructor for information on using or manipulating this content.

Please remember to check your computer system's requirements. Currently, this CD-ROM supports these computer specifications: PC Users- Pentium Based Processor, Windows 98/2000/XP, Internet Explorer 6.0 as Default Browser. Mac Users (if indicated on CD)- PowerPC Processor, Mac OS 9, Internet Explorer 5.1 as Default Browser. Microsoft Office or Equivalent is also required for both platforms.

McGraw-Hill/Irwin has made every effort to test this software on a variety of hardware/software configurations, but support beyond the configurations listed above cannot be guaranteed.

The CD-ROM's navigation, graphics, or layout do not display correctly or errors are reported. This CD-ROM is developed in HTML, and requires an internet browser to view the files properly. Older web browsers are not supported with this CD-ROM. Visit the Install Viewers page and install the latest browser.
Certain files do not open/display properly but other files open/display fine. Certain files require that an application be installed on your hard drive in order for them to open. Click on the Install Viewers tab and install the appropriate viewer.
You are unable to install the viewers. Your browser may not be configured to accept downloads for security reasons. (Certain public computers are configured this way.) Try the resolution at right, or contact the computer's administrator for assistance. Be sure to select "Run the Application from its Current Location" and click "Yes" to accept the content if you are prompted at a Security Warning dialog box. From your browser window, select Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, click Custom Level, and reset the custom settings to a lower option. (Mac users select Edit, Preferences, and select Security.)
I have installed the viewers, but the files still do not open/display. Certain viewers may not function correctly because you need to restart your computer first, or they are not designed for your current operating system or system you are using. Restart your computer and try again. Try installing a similar viewer. Contact the third party developer's customer support. Consider upgrading your hardware.
Sometimes a new browser window opens, but no content appears in that window. The content appears through/in another application. This is normal. In some cases, depending on how your computer is configured, third party applications will open the desired file. Since McGraw-Hill did not develop this software, we cannot control how this software manages our content. Simply close the blank window to return to the CD-ROM content page.
