·      IMPORTANT NOTE about Project2:

When you enter the data into Minitab, your columns should not have any letters in them
(other than on the very top row where the names go).
If they have letters, Minitab thinks that the data is text and will not let you choose them
for the Chi-squared analysis.  You can tell if this is the problem by looking at the name of
the column.  C1 is a numerical column, C1-T is a text column.  Just re-enter the data on
new columns and make sure there is no T on them.

·      Practice Questions for Exam 3 – and the Solutions.

M 12/3

·      Finish Review

·      Evaluations

·      Corrections to Practice Questions:

·      Number 5 – all options are about comparing the odds to what they were from one yard less (not the year before).

·      Number 41, the answer is B.  The test statistic NOT falling in the rejection region is the same as saying the p-value was too big.

·      Number 24 - This is matched pairs because we have sales data for each of the four brands, for the same seven months.  The original data was collected in a block design, which is an extension of matched pairs.  Is something we did not cover in class - that's why I said to ignore questions 22 and 23.  It would look something like this:

        sales for brand

month   A     B     C    D

Jan     45    58    76   15

Feb     48    62    48   34

 .

 .

 .

etc
